Pool Update

The pool expansion project has run into some issues. Specifically, the water turn-over rate is lower than required and air is present in the water return lines. Our pool needs to completely turn over (circulate through the filters) in 24 hours. Our current turn over rate is too low to accomplish this task, and the State will not certify our pool until Burton corrects the flow rate and eliminates air in the lines. To correct this problem, Burton is completely replacing the plumbing inside the equipment room. Hopefully, Burton’s plumbing fix will work. In addition to the plumbing issues; depth tiles, no-dive tiles, ladders and handrails must be installed. Additionally, the pool needs to be completely cleaned.

Burton has assured us that the pool will be ready for inspection on June 17, 2014. We will followup and let you know when the pool is open. Thank you again for your patience and understanding.

Pool Update

The final inspection on the pool is scheduled for June 9, 2014 at 10:00 am. The inspection had to wait until then to allow time to balance the chemicals in the pool, wire the new pump, and circulate the water for a few days. Our pool maintenance guy, Michael Henson, has agreed to be present during the inspection to solve any problems. If all goes well and the inspection is passed the pool will be open for swimming that afternoon.

Additionally, the dirt work around the pool will be delayed until dryer weather. We can still swim, after inspection, even though the dirt work may be incomplete.

Thank you for your understanding and patience.
